Recycling 101 – Plastic & Paper Bags

Plastic bags are also known as “tanglers”, which are a real hassle in recycling facilities as they get caught on all of the machinery and can shut down an entire facility. Consider using paper bags or bring your own reusable bags! “So where do I recycle these plastic bags? I have so many” Kroger, Target, Walmart, and other national grocery retailers. Most grocery stores have a bin for plastic bags and plastic film, this ensures a safe recycling of these flimsy plastics. Skip the curbside recycling bin and take your bags to your local grocery store.
