Garbage/Recycling service changes
City Council will soon discuss changes to garbage and recycling services. The City is conducting two public hearings on Nov. 2 in the City Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m. The first is on proposed rate changes, the second concerns non-rate revisions to City ordinances governing garbage and recycling collection (City Code Chapter 56).

A rate hike has not been allowed since July 2021. Two local haulers have requested adjustments in their customer rates to reflect increases in labor, equipment, landfill, and other operational costs of providing services.
