Decatur, IL – At National Night Out the City, alongside the Coalition of Neighborhood Organizations, had the privilege to posthumously honor two outstanding community volunteers: Francie Johnson and Helen Jeanne Mears. Both women passed away in 2022, but their commitment to our neighborhoods and City of Decatur residents will continue to be remembered as we have renamed the Neighborhood Ambassador award to the Johnson-Mears Community Service Award.
