Recycling tips from Midwest Fiber: Batteries should never make their way into your curbside bin. Batteries have the power to start fires, shutdown recycling facilities, and create dangerous conditions for workers. Batteries can be recycled safely at certain places, simply look online for the nearest place that safely recycles batteries. You can safely recycle batteries using the green bucket in the Decatur Civic Center main lobby!
