Decatur, IL – The City of Decatur is establishing a new waiting list for waterfowl hunting blinds. We will accept names for the new waiting list on a first come, first serve basis starting August 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at opens in a new windowhttps://decaturil.gov/…/licensing/docks-boats-duck-blinds/ Registration will close at the end of that month.
The new list does NOT impact hunters who pay their annual blind permit fees on time. Persons on the new waiting list will be contacted if there are blinds available due to hunters not paying their annual permit fees by the due date. We will establish a new waiting list each year to give waterfowl hunters a more equitable way to obtain permits.
