Decatur, IL – The City of Decatur is establishing the annual waiting list for waterfowl hunting blinds. We will accept names for the new waiting list on a first-come, first-serve basis starting July 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. on opens in a new windowthis webpage. Registration will close at the end of July 2024. The new list does NOT impact hunters who pay their annual blind permit fees on time.
Persons on the new waiting list will be contacted if there are blinds available due to hunters not paying their annual permit fees by the due date. We will establish a new waiting list each year to give waterfowl hunters a more equitable way to obtain permits.
