Residential Electronics Collection Event – Reserve Your Appointment Today

Beginning March 1st, Macon County residents may register for an appointment to attend the Residential Electronics Collection Event on Friday & Saturday, April 21 & 22 at the Decatur Civic Center parking lot. Those who have a confirmed appointment and have pre-paid $10.oo for each TV/monitor to be collected will be admitted to the event in the Civic Center parking lot.  Except for TVs/monitors, other accepted electronic items may be dropped off free of charge by those with a confirmed appointment.

Attendance each day of the event is limited to 500 residents with confirmed appointments.  To register, click on “Register Now” at or submit a mail-in registration form, mail-in registration forms are available at the offices of the event sponsors, Macon County Environmental Management, 141 South Main Street, Room 408 or at the City of Decatur, Development Services, 3rd Floor, Decatur Civic Center. (Beginning March 8th, registration is open to residents of all counties).  Confirmation of appointment is immediate for on-line registrants while mail-in registrants will receive a postcard with an assigned appointment time.

For each confirmed appointment, up to ten residential electronic items will be accepted including:  televisions/monitors (limit 3 with pre-payment of $10 each); computers, laptops, printers and peripherals, control boxes, media players and receivers, and phones, tablets and cables.   Click here for flyer:    Flyer – Residential Electronics Collection Event
