Decatur, IL – WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK! IDOT is planning for long-term improvements to US Rt. 51 in Decatur, both north and south, between Eldorado & Pershing Streets. They want to hear from YOU what you would like to see done with this major thoroughfare. The Open House is at the Decatur Civic Center from 4-7pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023.
Please come anytime to submit feedback, and also enjoy FREE activities such as food trucks (Turkey Man, and The Box – Decatur), a face painter, and a balloon artist. Once you visit all IDOT feedback stations, you will get a voucher for food from one of the food trucks.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be some temporary repair work on Rt. 51 that will happen this year because of the poor condition. IDOT will be back for the full reconstruction project in one or two years.
