The City of Decatur is seeking bids from individuals, companies or organizations for removal of grass and weeds from lots owned by Macon County Trustee that have failed to comply with Chapter 48, Section 8 of the City Code of Decatur.
An informational meeting to discuss the program will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber on the 3rd Floor of the Decatur Civic Center, #1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza. The meeting format will be open, meaning that interested parties can come at any time between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
As part of the mowing work, the City will be divided into districts with each District containing approximately 10 to 60 lots and each bidder may bid on one or more districts.
Full bid packets can be picked up beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 22 and thereafter from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in the city’s Development Services Department located on the 3rd floor of the Decatur Civic Center. Bids must be submitted (in person or by mail) by March 3, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. in a sealed envelope to:

Bidders may withdraw their bids at any time prior to the RFP closing time by telephone or written request. A telephone request must be confirmed in writing within 24 hours of the call and prior to closing time.
